1. Drench: become wet
Example: His face was drenched was sweat.
               She drenched herself in perfume.

2. Retrieve (V): recover
Example: The police have managed to retrieve some of the stolen money.

3. Replenish (V): supply again, reload
Example: We need to replenish our food-stock.
                He is replenishing tubs with water.


4. Relinquish (V): to give up
Example: In protest, he relinquished his title.
               They had relinquished all hope that she was alive.

5. Radiate (V): emit light
Example: He Radiated self-confidence and optimism.
               The sun radiates light and so do the stars.

6. Prone (adj): inclined to
Example: This is an accident prone area.
                The victim lay prone without moving.

7. Procrastination (n): delay, postponement
Example: He became a synonym of procrastination.
                People are dying of starvation due to Government’s procrastination.

8. Precarious (adj): Risky
Example: The ladder looks very precarious.
                The child stood in a precarious position.

9. Persevere (v): continue to strive in spite of odds
 Example: She persevered with her music lessons.
             Success demands effort, determination and perseverance.

10. Pathetic (adj): Pitiful
Example: I know it sounds pathetic, but I can’t ride a bike.
   The starving children were a pathetic sight.
