1. Par excellence (Adj): superb, matchless

8. Malicious (Adj): harmful, full of spite
Example: The malicious rivals spread the canard.
                They propagated malicious lies to blacken his reputation.

9. Maim (V): Mutilate, injure
Example: The militants killed some and left many others maimed and dying.
               Many passengers were killed and others maimed in a train accident.

10. Lucrative (Adj): profitable
Example: he was lured by the lucrative contract.
                Export business is very lucrative.
