1. Cripple: a lame person

Example:  He is crippled by polio.
                  Bad habits cripple the enthusiasm of the mind and the body.

2. Enrich: make rich, beautify

Example: She enriched her knowledge of English by reading & writing.
                 Soil is enriched with fertilizer.

3. Dwarf (n/v): a short person, very small

Example: The old houses were dwarfed by the new huge tower blocks.
               He always tries to dwarf everybody.


4. Manifesto: a public declaration

Example: Does this matter include in their manifesto?
               The share holders have manifested their intention to sell the shares.

5. Instances: an example, a demand

Example: He gave several instances to prove his theory.
               There are several instances to prove the aggressive attitude of Pak towards India.

6. Agony (n/v): extreme suffering

                She waited in agony of suspense.

7. Image: likeness

Example: I have this image of you as always being cheerful.
               The Hindus worship several images of God.

8. Man handle: handle with force

Example: He was manhandled by a gang of thieves.
               The police were accused of man handling the prisoner.

9. Retaliate: to take revenge

Example: Being a wise man he didn’t retaliate on them for their misdeeds.
               The Govt. retaliated by breaking off the diplomatic relations.

10. Contaminate: To make a substance or place


Example: They were accused of contaminating the minds of young people by producing cheap literature.
