                 ANSWERS:

1)      E . The sentence is correct

2)      D.  In the past perfect tense the verb is used in the paast  participle from. There fore ‘some cable operators in the city had blocked the news.


3)      E . The sentence is correct

4)      The usage of passive Voice in the sentence is inappropriate here. Therefore, the usage of the expression “the complainants in their complaint have alleged…..” is correct


5)      D. the term ‘unpleasant’ is an Adjective. Therefore, after ‘a lot of’ there will be the usage of ‘unpleasantness’ which is a Noun and will be the correct usage.

6)      B.  The usage of the conjuction ‘that’ is inappropriate when used in the Indirect speech of the Interrogative sentence in the ‘wh’ question.


7)      E. the sentence is correct.

8)      B. The expression ‘for to be approved’ should be replaced with ‘for approval’ (Noun) to make the sentence correct.

9)      A. The usage of passive Voice in the sentence is incorrect. The correct usage will be ‘ they had hired a taxi….’



10)   D. In the sentence, instead of ‘were often in a state of confused’ you have to use ‘’were often in a state of confusion (Noun), which will be the correct usage.
